Fruit Party Objet d'Art

Fruit Party Decorative Centerpiece

Fruit Party is a brilliant decorative art object which has a special calming effect. You can just keep on staring at this for hours on end. Of course, you could stare at real fruit for hours as well and it will cost you much less. But Fruit Party is very special never the less. Fruit Party is one of the most unique and ornamental centerpieces we have ever found. Fruit Party is made with a papier-mache and willow wood. Fruit Party is exceptional since its base was made with a 17th century Dutch weaving technique which utilizes Willow wood. This refreshing and innovative approach to Scholten & Baijings of this old technique has resulted in the colorful Fruit Party. Fruit Party's top is made with richly colored papier-mache in a vibrant light green color that has a natural and almost healing quality to it. An usual and extremely fine object d'art.

Arik Levy: Ceremony Glass Flower Stick Vases

Ceremony is a 7 piece set of beautiful flower stick vases. was designed by Arik Levy for Gaia & Gino. Price is for a set of 7 flower stick vases in either clear, silver or bronze. Each of these flower stick vases range in size from 14" to 19".

Arik Levy's Ceremony flower stick vases allow for a beautiful minimal flower arrangement without depriving us of the essential: the pleasure of the senses. These seven vessels display a rather austere aesthetic, inspired by laboratory pieces used in chemistry. Ceremony offers endless possibilities: everyone is free to arrange flowers in their own unique way, either solo or in groups. And if the flowers are missing, these vases are classy enough by themselves to leave on permanent display. These vases are made with Borosilicate Pyrex glass with is available in clear or coated with silver or bronze. Please note that the pictured round vases are not included.

Arik Levy is one of the most promising designers of the 21st century. "If I hadn’t been a designer, I would have been a scientist," says Arik Levy. The Paris-based industrial designer has captured the attention of companies like Vitra, Ligne Roset, L'Oreal and Renault. "I work like a researcher in a lab, searching for the genetic codes of materials or companies. Once I've decoded them, I inject my own gene in different places." He believes that changing this "genetic code" essentially creates a new material. "I try to use materials in places they are not normally used to give them another kind of life." Using unconventional thinking and smart design processes, Arik Levy transforms everyday household objects into striking works of art. His latest creations for Gaia & Gino are irresistible and functional design objects.
